Museum Membership
Why not become a member of the National Railway Museum?
As well as the satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to the well-being of the museum, all members are
entitled to unlimited free visits to the Museum during normal opening hours. In addition, members receive a 10%
discount on all "Break of Gauge Railway Shop" purchases, and
six issues of our own "Catchpoint" magazine per year. This 40
page magazine covers railway happenings around South Australia, as well as up-to-date information on the National
Railway Museum and SteamRanger.

Volunteer Input
Members are encouraged to become actively involved by staffing the shop, restoring engines and rollingstock, gardening, cataloguing of archives, or by joining general working bees. Specialised skills are always sought after for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or even engine driving or being guard on many of our trains. Please feel free to ask the Manager about joining an enthusiastic, dedicated group of volunteers.
Meetings & Social Activities
Members and friends are also invited to attend General Members Meetings which are held at the West Adelaide Football Club upstairs in the Westonian Lounge at 57 Milner Road Richmond. All members have full voting rights on issues affecting the museum (but only one vote per 'family' member). The business part of the meeting is followed by refreshments and interesting slide or video presentations by members, or talks by special guests. Regular social functions, dinners and BBQs are also organised throughout the year.
To become a member please contact the museum.
